The Atlanta Area CNS Group is an affiliate of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS). NACNS, founded in 1995, exists to enhance and promote the unique, high value contribution of the clinical nurse specialist to the health and well-being of individuals, families, groups, and communities, and to promote and Advance the Practice of Nursing.

**NACNS and AWHONN released the first-ever competencies for women’s health clinical nurse specialists.  They build on the National CNS core competencies and incorporate knowledge and scope of practice from standards of practice and evidence based guidelines developed by AWHONN.  Click this link to go to the document.
